Revenue Accountant

Join our fast-growing team as a Revenue Accountant, where you'll take ownership of complex revenue processes and contribute to our scaling efforts. You'll work closely with our Tech and Data team, translating commercial terms into the right accounting treatment, managing deferred revenue and energy accrual schedules, and driving AR reconciliations and collections. This role offers the opportunity for real ownership and growth within the company.

• Anwendung und Pflege der Umsatzrealisierungspolitik (HGB heute, IFRS 15 in der Zukunft) für die verschiedenen Kunden- und Vertragstypen.
• Eigenverantwortliche Verwaltung wichtiger Aktivitäten im Bereich der Umsatzbuchhaltung, Beitrag zum Monatsabschluss und Identifizierung von Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten.
• Analytical and data-curious: comfortable with large datasets, spotting anomalies, forming a hypothesis and testing it against the data before escalating
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
• Solid accounting fundamentals with hands-on experience in IFRS 15 or HGB revenue recognition in a contract-heavy environment, comfortable with deferred revenue and month-end close
• Business fluent in German and English
• 3-5 years in accounting, with meaningful exposure to complex revenue accounting, AR, or billing, ideally in a B2B SaaS, energy, or tech-enabled business
• Structured and detail-oriented: your reconciliations are clean, your documentation holds up under audit scrutiny
• Ownership mindset: you don't wait to be told what's broken, you find it, fix it, and document it
• AI-first mindset: hands-on with tools like Langdock, Claude, ChatGPT, or n8n, you've built workflows, not just used chat. Bonus if you've built your own automations
• SQL or Python basics (or willingness to learn quickly) to query billing and energy data directly
• Experience with DATEV, Moss, Airtable, or ERP implementations
• Exposure to energy billing, commodity contracts, or variable pricing structures
• Experience supporting or preparing for an external audit
