Senior Software Engineer (Developer Platform)

You'll lead initiatives end to end, partner closely with engineers across product and data, and own the metrics for developer velocity and reliability. • Lead initiatives end to end to improve developer experience, including setting CI/CD and observability standards.
• Partner closely with engineers across product and data to remove friction, boost developer velocity, and strengthen reliability.
• Own the metrics for developer velocity and reliability, and be accountable for moving them.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture (GCP or similar). A strong instinct for reliability and security - you understand that on a platform handling compensation data, speed cannot come at the cost of trust
• High developer empathy - you love improving workflows and enabling others to move faster
• A track record of improving developer velocity with modern AI tooling - agentic coding, AI-assisted review/testing - and strong opinions on where it does and doesn't help
• Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills, with experience scaling production systems
• Nice to Have: Experience building internal developer platforms in enterprise SaaS environments
• Proven ability to lead large, ambiguous projects with cross-team impact
• 4+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or developer experience
