• Own the full hiring cycle for R&D roles across Engineering, Product, Design, and Data, from sourcing candidates to closing senior hires.
• Work directly with hiring managers and leadership to define role requirements, build pipelines ahead of headcount approval, and contribute to workforce planning.
• Build and execute creative sourcing strategies using various tools and channels, and leverage Pave's market compensation data to close candidates with confidence.
• Data-driven mindset — you track pipeline metrics because they help you make better decisions, not because someone asked you to
• Experience recruiting at a high-growth startup or fast-paced tech company — you know what it means to hire with urgency without compromising the bar
• A proven track record sourcing and closing engineering talent across multiple levels and disciplines — your output matters more to us than your year count, though most people who've done this well have 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting behind them
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills - you can sell a company vision, navigate complex offer negotiations, and create an exceptional candidate experience under pressure
• Strong Boolean search skills and sourcing instincts for passive candidates who aren't on the market yet — you know where to find people who aren't looking
