About The Role

Join LeoLabs, a leading company in space domain awareness. As a Senior Radar Software Engineer, you will develop, integrate, and optimize software systems for advanced radar operations. You will work closely with various engineering teams to deliver high-performance radar capabilities. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for radar data collection and processing, as well as supporting system integration and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in radar or sensor systems, and holds a relevant degree.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting radar data collection, processing, analysis, and operational deployment.
  • Collaborate with radar systems, signal processing, infrastructure, and operations teams to integrate new capabilities into operational environments.
  • Support software architecture development and technical design reviews, and participate in system integration, verification, validation, and field testing activities.
  • The ideal candidate has experience developing software for radar, sensor, defense, aerospace, or real-time data processing systems and enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience designing and developing distributed systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Experience with Linux-based development environments
  • Strong programming experience in Python, C++, or similar languages
  • Familiarity with software testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Personnel Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with radar systems, RF systems, signal processing, or sensor data processing applications
  • Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or Space Force programs
  • Experience working with bare-metal systems
  • Experience working with large-scale telemetry, tracking, or real-time data processing systems
  • Familiarity working in constrained compute environments
  • Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret Personnel Security Clearance
  • Experience supporting classified programs and secure computing environments
