Senior Software Engineer

Join EA/Kayrros as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will develop data processing pipelines, collaborate with researchers and engineers, and work with diverse data sources. You will have a significant impact on the delivery of geospatial data to customers.

Required qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Significant experience in Software Engineering
• Experienced Python engineer.
• Knowledge of software architecture.
• Familiar with AI-driven development tools.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker and at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and its managed services (S3, SQS, Lambdas, etc.).
• Knowledge in RDBMS (PostgreSAL, MySQL, etc.) and schema design

• Knowledge of one popular workflow scheduler and/or orchestrator (Argo, Airflow, Keda, etc.).
• Leadership, rigor, autonomy and proactivity.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Speak and write fluent English to communicate with our international teams.

Appreciated skills

• Familiar with the geospatial open source ecosystem (GDAL, rasterio, proj, etc.).
• Familiar with new data formats (geoparquet, cloud optmized geotiff, etc.).
• Familiar with cloud architecture (resilience, error management, etc.).
