Business Development Manager (Hospitality)
Attensi · United Kingdom
About The Role
Join Attensi, a leading company in the hospitality and leisure sector, as a Business Development Manager. In this key role, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities with top hospitality brands. You will be responsible for understanding customer challenges, building trust, and positioning Attensi as the right partner for large hospitality businesses. This role requires a commercially minded, curious, and driven individual with a passion for new business development and consultative selling.
- Identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities with leading hospitality brands.
- Conducting discovery conversations with senior stakeholders to understand their challenges and needs.
- Collaborating with the wider Hospitality commercial team to support sector growth and develop best practices.
- You may already have experience selling into hospitality, leisure, retail, learning technology, SaaS or another people-heavy sector
- What matters most is that you are commercially sharp, comfortable opening new conversations, and excited by the challenge of selling a high-impact solution into large, complex organisations
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys new business development, consultative selling, research, fact-finding and building insight-led conversations with customers
- You are energised by new business. You are comfortable reaching out to people, opening conversations and building relationships from scratch
- We are looking for someone smart, commercially minded, relationship-oriented and curious. You enjoy understanding how businesses work, asking good questions and turning customer challenges into clear commercial opportunities
- You will be at your best when combining research, commercial instinct and strong communication skills. You will be able to look at a hospitality business and think carefully about where Attensi could create measurable impact — whether that is improving onboarding, service standards, sales behaviours, compliance, leadership capability, customer experience or operational consistency
- You do not need to be a hard-sell stereotype — in fact, that is not what we are looking for. Our sales process is consultative, collaborative and insight-led, focused on creating value propositions and solutions that address specific customer needs and pain points
- You will also be comfortable learning the proposal side of the role. You may not have owned RFPs or tenders before, but you will be organised, thoughtful and able to write clearly
- Over time, you will become confident contributing to strong proposals, shaping customer-specific messaging and helping us position Attensi in a commercially compelling way
- We are particularly excited by people who have sold into, worked with, or built relationships across hospitality, leisure, retail, SaaS, learning technology, HR technology, workforce technology or other technology-led environments
- A commercial mindset and the ability to understand buying motivations, value drivers and business impact
- A genuine interest in the Hospitality and Leisure sector, and the operational challenges faced by large, distributed workforces
- Strong organisation and follow-through, with confidence managing multiple opportunities and internal stakeholders
- A consultative selling style, with the ability to uncover customer challenges and connect them to a compelling value proposition
- The ability to work collaboratively with sales, account management, customer success, product and delivery teams
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ideally, some exposure to proposals, RFPs, tenders or customer-specific commercial submissions — although this is not essential
- Energy, resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced scale-up environment
- Experience in new business development, sales, commercial partnerships, account development or a similar customer-facing commercial role
- Strong research and fact-finding skills, with the curiosity to understand a customer’s business before trying to sell to them
- Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders, ideally including director-level or C-suite contacts
- Strong prospecting skills and confidence initiating conversations with new customers
- Ideally, experience selling into hospitality, leisure, retail, SaaS, learning technology, HR technology or another people-focused B2B environment
- You have sold into large, multi-site hospitality, leisure or retail organisations
- You understand the challenges of training frontline, operational or customer-facing teams at scale
- You have experience displacing or challenging existing LMS, learning, HR, workforce or operational technology solutions
- You are confident creating insight-led outreach and opening doors with senior stakeholders
- You can balance new business energy with a thoughtful, consultative and customer-first approach
- You enjoy turning research into commercial conversations
- You are excited by the idea of learning Attensi’s proposal and bid process, rather than needing to arrive as a finished bid specialist
