About The Role

Join AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, as a Tax Controls & Reporting Manager (Interim) for a fixed term of 9-12 months. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that tax-related SOX controls are designed appropriately and operate effectively. You will serve as the primary UK-based point of contact for tax SOX, oversee control execution, maintain robust documentation, and ensure ongoing audit readiness. Additionally, you will support the Group's income tax reporting processes and selected day-to-day tax operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SOX and PCAOB requirements, experience in corporate tax, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Maintenir et améliorer la documentation, y compris les narrations de processus fiscaux, les matrices de risques et de contrôles (RACM) et la documentation SOX.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes fiscales locales et les conseillers fiscaux externes pour comprendre les questions fiscales, valider les hypothèses clés et documenter les jugements significatifs.
  • Working knowledge of income tax provision concepts and tax reporting processes under U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Experience operating in a SOX/internal controls environment, including documentation, evidence retention, and audit readiness
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables during close cycles
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, especially with different stakeholders within and outside the business
  • 3-4 years of experience in corporate tax
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with local Finance teams and external tax advisors across multiple countries
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suites (Excel, PowerPoint, word etc.)
  • Experience working within the software/technology industry
  • Experience with the use of Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud System (TRCS) for tax reporting
  • Experience supporting PCAOB inspections/discussing with auditors constructively using PCAOB standards
  • Deep understanding of IAS 12/ASC 740 income tax accounting standards
  • Experience with managing SOX programs or related programs
