Senior Software Engineer (Rosetta Stone)

Join Rosetta Stone as a Senior Software Engineer. You will work with a talented team of engineers to build and enhance our language learning products. Your responsibilities will include developing back-end wiring, application logic, and UI, providing accurate estimates, evaluating feasibility, and collaborating with multiple development teams. You will also mentor teammates and share your knowledge. Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in software engineering, knowledge of AWS, MySQL, MongoDB, GraphQL/Node, and React, and a passion for improving language learning through technology.

• Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement software solutions for language learning products.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring teammates, sharing knowledge, and guiding the team in best practices.
• Evaluate new platforms and technologies, and provide accurate estimates and feasibility assessments for project implementations.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Knowledge of AWS, MySQL, MongoDB, GraphQL/Node, React is a plus
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Modern best practices in Javascript, HTML, and CSS
• Passion for improving language learning through technology
• Strong communication, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent programming skills (e.g. Ruby/Go or Java)
