Software Engineer (Education.com)

Collaborate with a cross-functional team to build and launch new features, optimize application performance, and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. Candidates should have 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, a strong understanding of relational database systems, and a passion for EdTech.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and launch new features and improvements across the <Education.com> platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end services, alongside rich user interfaces, while optimizing application performance.
• Participate in design and code reviews, evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably in a high-traffic web environment
• Understanding of relational database systems, such as MySQL
• Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks, such as React
• Understanding of RESTful API design
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Strong interest in EdTech and improving learning outcomes through technology
• Proficiency in object oriented programming
• Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiarity with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, and RDS
