About The Role
Join TripleLift, a rapidly growing global advertising company, as an Assistant General Counsel. In this role, you will provide strategic and practical legal advice to all functions throughout the organization, manage a broad legal portfolio in support of commercial initiatives, and interact with senior executives across the company. You will also review, negotiate, and draft a variety of technology and commercial agreements, lead complex cross-border negotiations, and support product, technology, and commercial teams. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of commercial experience, strong project-management and operational skills, and a deep understanding of technology and business objectives.
- Negotiate and execute a variety of complex and cutting-edge commercial agreements critical to the company's expanding business and platform.
- Advise on international, policy, privacy, and regulatory matters related to the company's expanding product offerings and identify and improve processes and policies to benefit the business.
- Supervise other attorneys on go-to-market tasks and projects, collaborate with other senior members of the legal team, and help the legal team develop, implement, and support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, legal processes, policies, and trainings.
- The ideal candidate is a business-minded and practical lawyer who takes the time to understand technology and business objectives to strategically and effectively balance legal risks in advising the business at an executive level

- They are a collaborative team player comfortable making decisions and managing a team
- Excellent business judgment and ability to assess legal risk while also thinking strategically and providing practical advice
- Ability and desire to work both autonomously but also collaboratively as part of a growing legal team
- Experience with global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.)
- 6+ years of commercial experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department
- Strong project-management and operational skills
- Exceptional communication, analytical and writing skills
- Prior experience in adtech, with strong client service skills
- Licensed to practice in New York with superior academic credentials
- Ability to understand technology and the interplay between legal risk, policy and strategy
