About The Role

Join SoFi, a leading personal finance company, as a Staff Marketing Data Scientist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing top-tier marketing strategies, specifically within the Direct Mail channel. You will lead end-to-end Direct Mail campaigns, manage an offshore team, partner with channel owners and marketing managers, and analyze the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau, and a passion for utilizing data for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

  • Lead the end-to-end Direct Mail (DM) campaigns, including pre-screened (PS) and invitation-to-apply (ITA) across products.
  • Manage the offshore team, providing project assignments, technical guidance, and coaching, and act as the key liaison between onshore and offshore teams.
  • Proactively measure and analyze the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns and strategies, providing data-driven recommendations and driving informed actions.
  • This position is ideal for someone passionate about utilizing data for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. It requires direct interface with marketing managers, channel owners, and third-party partners to collaboratively identify opportunities for improvement and enhanced efficiency
  • Experience building data pipelines with Airflow, preferably in Snowflake
  • Strong relationship-building and collaborative skills
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a quantitative field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects independently to completion, and ability to clearly communicate technical information to diverse audiences
  • 8+ years of relevant marketing experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on pre-screened/pre-approved campaigns
  • High intellectual curiosity and a quick learner of new technical skills
  • Demonstrated experience with experimentation and hypothesis testing
