About The Role

Join ORIS, a multicultural and international organization, as a QA Test Automation Engineer. In this vital role, you will be responsible for quality-assuring our cloud-native solutions on a SaaS platform by automating test cases, participating in manual testing, supporting product teams, and leading initiatives to enhance platform reliability and performance. You will design and implement end-to-end automated tests, conduct API and load testing, and take charge of continuous quality assurance and monitoring of the SaaS platform. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in software testing, strong manual testing expertise, and test automation skills.

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in software quality, combining strong manual testing expertise with test automation skills.

The ideal candidate is experienced in designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing. They are comfortable creating test plans and test cases, managing defects through tools such as JIRA or similar platforms, and ensuring high software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

The candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining end-to-end automated tests using tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, or equivalent frameworks, as well as API testing and performance/load testing to validate application reliability, scalability, and performance.

Working closely with engineering, product, and design teams, they contribute to delivering high-quality software in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), while promoting QA best practices across the team.

Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as OpenSearch, Datadog, Instana, or similar solutions is expected to support proactive incident detection and performance monitoring.

### Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
  • 2+ years of experience with Observability tools like OpenSearch and OpenTracing
  • Strong experience with end-to-end test automation (Playwright, Puppeteer, or similar)
  • Experience with API testing and performance/load testing
  • Proficiency with issue tracking tools such as JIRA or equivalent
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (OpenSearch, Datadog, Instana, or similar)
  • Proficiency in TypeScript
  • Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines is a plus
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

### Soft Skills

  • Strong written and spoken English (C1)
  • French or German is considered a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and business teams
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comfortable performing code reviews, documenting QA processes, and sharing best practices
