About The Role

Join Fubo, a leading sports-first live TV streaming platform, as the Vice President of Engineering for Content Intelligence & Discovery. In this role, you will oversee the technical foundation of our platform, leading a multi-disciplinary organization at the intersection of high-scale systems engineering and applied machine learning. You will drive the roadmap for search and personalization, build the knowledge graph, lead algorithmic innovation, champion AI-accelerated engineering, and oversee systems architecture. You will report to the CTO and be responsible for the health of your teams' services, ensuring high availability and proactive operations management.

  • Lead the Content Intelligence & Discovery organization, overseeing the technical systems that ingest, model, and intelligently surface content to users.
  • Drive the roadmap to improve ranking models, collaborative filtering, and semantic search, measuring success by the improvement of discovery quality and user retention.
  • Oversee the design of resilient, low-latency data pipelines and APIs, ensuring a cohesive strategy for AI-driven metadata enrichment.
  • The "Bilingual" Leader: You are a seasoned systems engineer who is also fluent in Data Science
  • Leadership at Scale: You have a track record of scaling engineering organizations, mentoring managers, and fostering a culture of excellence in fast-paced environments
  • You can audit a Go/JVM-based backend architecture one hour and discuss the nuances of vector embeddings or ranking loss functions the next
  • Product & Data Obsessed: You don’t build for the sake of "cool tech." You are driven by metrics and you know how to translate those product needs into technical requirements
  • Operational Rigor: You have experience running high-traffic production systems. You believe that an algorithm is only as good as its uptime and that engineers should be empowered to manage their own production environments
