The role
As a Process Controls Engineer, you will help drive our goals by
- Leading the development and delivery of long-term control system strategies to improve process performance and scalability within the PGMS R&D environment
- Acting as technical lead on controls and automation projects, supporting both batch and continuous chemical processes
- Providing expert troubleshooting and technical support for control systems, networks and plant operations
- Defining and implementing control and automation standards, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and PSM requirements
- Identifying and delivering improvements to instrumentation, electrical and control system performance
- Supporting OT cybersecurity initiatives and risk assessments to ensure secure and compliant operations
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role
- Degree in Chemical, Electrical or related engineering discipline with strong industrial experience in process control
- Proven experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC5, Micrologix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) using Rockwell Automation software
- Experience working with SCADA systems, ideally FactoryTalk View SE
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, process control systems, and motor control including VFDs
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I/O
- Experience supporting projects and operational troubleshooting within a chemical or process manufacturing environment
