Vice President Blockchain / Backend Engineer

Join iCapital's Distributed Ledger Technology team as a Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer. In this highly visible role, you will design and implement a private and permissioned distributed ledger, build and maintain a RESTful API, and provide technical leadership to guide and mentor team members. You will work closely with other teams in Engineering, Product, senior leadership, and industry partners. The ideal candidate has experience with Python, Toke, FastAPI, DAML, Solidity, and has a strong background in software engineering and technical leadership. • Design and implement a private and permissioned distributed ledger using DAML or Canton and other open source blockchain frameworks.
• Build and maintain a RESTful API using Python and FastAPI, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Provide technical leadership to motivate and guide team members, mentor junior engineers, and participate in daily stand-up meetings and peer code reviews.
• The ideal candidate is able to understand complex business problems, scope projects, identify business opportunities, optimize workflows, and communicate their findings across all levels of the organization
• Experience with Python, Toke and FastAPI
• Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain programing languages
• 3+ year technical leadership and management experience
• 9+ years software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions
• Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
• Experience building APIs for large scale applications using AWS
