A Hiring Group is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated
Licensed Electricians (C-10)
to join the growing team at
HVAC Alliance Expert
in San Diego County!
This role supports the SDG&E® Small Business Saver Program, helping eligible small businesses in Disadvantaged Communities (DAC) or those meeting Hard-To-Reach (HTR) criteria. The program focuses on providing site-specific energy assessments, customer education, and no-cost energy-saving upgrades to reduce utility bills.

Key Requirements
Active
California C-10 Electrical Contractor License
- Own tools and work vehicle
- General liability insurance
- Strong customer communication skills with the ability to manage site visits, quotes, and close work with business owners
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and submit daily documentation
- Professional appearance and strong communication
Experience with
commercial retrofit
and
- energy-efficiency installations
- is preferred
Responsibilities
Site Visits & Assessments
- Conduct on-site inspections and energy assessments for small businesses
- Verify site conditions (fixtures, devices, installation requirements)
- Take pre-installation photos and collect details for compliance
Eligibility Verification (Mandatory)
Confirm customer eligibility before proposing any project, including verifying SDG&E account status, Public Goods Charge, peak demand, and DAC/HTR status
Proposal & Close
- Present upgrade recommendations and explain the savings opportunity
- Secure customer approval prior to installation
Installation (Approved Measures Only)
- Install energy-saving measures including LED lamps, smart thermostats, and more
- Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and maintain professional workmanship
Compliance & Documentation Submission
- Submit required documentation same day (before and after photos, fixture labels, model numbers, change orders)
- Incomplete documentation can delay payment and commissions
Compensation
- Commission-only role
- 12% base commission on approved and completed projects
- 15% commission for exceeding weekly/monthly targets
- 20% commission for $200,000+ monthly project volume (includes bonuses)
