Unique Role Name of Company Business/ Function Sub-Function Age Range Experience Range Desired Qualification Desired Industry / Functional Exposure Reporting to Reported by Responsibility Heads Planning & Execution Quality Finalization of Packing Specifications Samples Delivery Product Realization Asahi India Glass Limited Auto Operations New Model Development 25-30 years Job Description Section 1: Job Specification Position Information Senior Executive/Assistant Manager- NMD Responsible for development of new models in line with customer's project milestone and establishing of new models for mass production Section 3: Areas of Responsibility ( A specific, permanent area that requires the role holder to be responsible for taking decisions, delivering results or carrying out a significant amount of activity) Key Responsibilities/KRAs 3-6 years for B.E/B.Tech, 7-10 years for Diploma Product designing APQP, PPAP, Section Head- Feasibility & Positive Film Development (NMD) NA Section 2 : Job Purpose (Summarise why this job exists; and how it contributes to the overall mission/objective of the organisation) B.E/B.Tech or Diploma- Mechanical (Mention the Role of the Direct Reports) Section 4: Reporting Relationship (Mention the Role of the Reporting Manager) Functional Reporting Matrix Reporting Section Head- Feasibility & Positive Film Development Direct Reports Managers of Managers Managers Individual Contributor - Prepare the project plan & execution as per customer master plan; monitor the number of defaults in customer requirements and ensure on-time submission of reports- Ensure execution & monitoring of all customer specific requirements - Monitor the number of parameters missed during mass production start-up - Coordinate with customer to get effective understanding of new product specifications & getting approval upon product development in allocated projects; monitor the number of sample rejections and variance in the actual and agreed specifications - Conduct quality checks on the produced parts for new models, find gaps (if any) & make the gap analysis to fulfil the product quality requirements as per customer requirements; monitor the number of quality open issues in mass production transfer- Execute the quality system requirements as per the company objectives in allocated activities (TQM, TS, TPM etc.) and ensure adherence to the company schedules - Review packaging specifications as per the requirements of the product and customer in order to ensure no damage is done to the product- Monitor and manage the number of complaints from customer & product damage in packing - Facilitate execution of sampling plan for glass manufacturing as per the customer expectations - Ensure no delay in sample submission to customer as per customer milestone deadline - Ensure closure of all development issues and freeze product specifications before PPAP / PTR run- Focus on target and actual yield during the initial control period (initial first three months of mass production)
