Senior Project Engineer

Job Description Shape the future of ESSA’s major industrial projects. We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and play a key role in delivering strategic capital projects from Pre-FEED and FEED through EPC execution, commissioning, and project close-out. In this role, you will be the bridge between engineering disciplines, EPC contractors, licensors, vendors, and internal project stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Group Head PMO, you will help ensure engineering activities are well-coordinated, technically sound, and aligned with project goals for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and long-term operational reliability. Work Location: ESSA's Head Office & Site Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related Engineering discipline. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Energy, Industrial Manufacturing, or EPC projects. Minimum 5 years in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, Lead Engineer, Package Engineer, or EPC Engineering roles. Strong exposure to Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, commissioning, and start-up phases. Solid capability in multidisciplinary coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, operations, HSSE, licensors, contractors, and vendors. Strong understanding of engineering standards such as ASME, API, IEC, ISO, and related industry codes. Familiar with RFIs, Technical Queries, document control, engineering change management, technical reviews, and vendor document management. PMP® or equivalent certification is preferred. Willing to travel or be assigned to contractor/consultant/project offices, including overseas assignments when required. Act as a key technical interface between engineering teams, EPC contractors, licensors, consultants, vendors, procurement, construction, operations, and HSSE stakeholders. Support project execution across Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, commissioning, start-up, and project close-out stages. Review engineering documents, drawings, technical specifications, calculations, vendor submissions, and engineering change requests. Support technical bid evaluations, vendor clarification meetings, equipment reviews, and vendor document follow-up. Monitor engineering progress, identify risks or delays, and support resolution of technical issues impacting project delivery. Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOPs, technical workshops, and coordination meetings. Prepare engineering progress reports, technical updates, action trackers, and management presentations. Contribute to lessons learned, continuous improvement, and strong project execution practices within the PMO.
