Partner Operations Manager, Amazon PARP

About The Role

The Partner Operations Manager will support the country lead with all aspects of product installation and maintenance in Italy as we continue to expand the business. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners – including service providers, host partners, technology and product management, and the local business development team. The individual must be both analytical and creative, seeking out ways to improve products, processes, and tools, and executing on those ideas. Strong interpersonal skills are also important as the position will have frequent interaction with leadership at Amazon and partner companies. The applicable collective agreement for this role is CBA for employees of Logistics, Delivery and Shipping Sector. The position is classified at level 1 or above, depending on the candidate's skills, competences and experience.

Key job responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

  • Lead end-to-end installation, maintenance, and post-installation operations (removal, decommissioning, moves, resizing) for Pickup and Return Points across assigned markets
  • Drive strategic projects including new product launches (Gen5 lockers), geographic expansion, and process improvements aligned with business objectives

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Manage complex supplier relationships across installation and maintenance services, negotiating contracts to achieve 90%+ SLA compliance
  • Scale supplier capacity strategically, ensuring redundancy on critical services while driving cost reductions

Hardware Sourcing & Inventory Management

  • Own hardware sourcing strategy, importation logistics, and inventory management across multiple countries and locker generations
  • Optimize inventory allocation through refurbishment programs, cross-country transfers, and demand forecasting to minimize holding costs

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Leverage AI tools and low/no-code solutions to streamline operational processes, targeting 15-30% productivity gains through automation

Financial Management

  • Manage program finance including purchase orders, invoice processing, and P&L ownership for assigned cost centers
  • Work within imparted budgets while identifying savings opportunities through supplier optimization and process improvements

Stakeholder Management & Influence

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Sales, Quality, Product/Tech, Finance, Marketing) to support business objectives
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations

Data Analysis & Performance Management

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes of operational issues and improvement opportunities
  • Monitor and report on KPIs including 99%+ uptime targets, DPMO, FTDS, cycle time, and cost performance
  • Establish dashboards and alarming mechanisms to proactively flag performance deterioration

Operational Excellence & Change Management

  • Maintain network reliability through proactive maintenance strategies and quality control mechanisms
  • Lead teams through operational transformations, new technology implementations, and process redesigns
  • Promote adaptability to rapid business changes and scaling requirements
