The role
As a Lead Databased Administrator , you will help drive our g oals by
- Own and drive technical roadmap for Johnson Matthey’s Database environments including the technology therein, such as SQL Server and Oracle database Compute, backup, restore, and disaster recovery capability.
- Lead a team of Database Administrators ensuring process is followed and work is completed in line with published standards.
- Responsible for embedding new tools and technologies throughout the database discipline.
- Oversight of projects impacting the database area.
- Focus on optimizing Johnson Matthey’s database estate, particular attention on increasing enterprise monitoring to ensure they are optimum/highly available for infrastructure and applications services.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role
- Strong understanding of database technologies
- A minimum of 8 years of solid experience in Microsoft SQL is required for this position
- Experienced working within an I&O environment.
- Experience with operating systems and server administration.
- Relevant industry qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must have a proven track record of supporting a large complex estate
