Driver - Heavy Driver

Responsible for operating heavy vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses, or construction vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers safely and efficiently. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, safety standards, and timely delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, tankers, buses, etc.) safely
• Transport goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips (fuel, oil, brakes, tires)
• Ensure proper loading and securing of cargo
• Comply with traffic laws and company safety policies
• Maintain trip logs, delivery notes, and fuel records
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition

Requirements

• Valid heavy vehicle driving license
• Proven experience as a heavy driver
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes
• Ability to operate different types of heavy vehicles
• Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles
• Physically fit and able to handle long driving hours
• Clean driving record
