We are seeking an experienced **Mechanical Engineer โ HVAC Design** to lead the design and engineering of HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in HVAC design, load calculations, equipment selection, and multidisciplinary coordination. You will be responsible for delivering efficient, compliant, and sustainable HVAC solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate with architects, consultants, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop high-quality HVAC designs, optimize system performance, and support successful project execution from concept through detailed engineering.
## Requirements
### Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems, including chilled water, DX, VRF, ventilation, and exhaust systems for diverse building projects.
- Perform heat load calculations using industry-standard software such as HAP, TRACE, or equivalent tools.
- Prepare detailed HVAC layouts, equipment schedules, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Select and size HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHUs, VRF units, pumps, cooling towers, and fans based on project requirements.
- Ensure all HVAC designs comply with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and other applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams for integrated project delivery.
- Support BIM coordination and develop HVAC models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP where applicable.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering initiatives, technical discussions, and client meetings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material specifications, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Provide engineering support during project execution while resolving technical challenges and ensuring design quality.
### What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of experience in **HVAC system design** for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in **Mechanical Engineering**.
- Strong expertise in designing chilled water, DX, VRF, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
- Hands-on experience performing heat load calculations using HAP, TRACE, or similar HVAC design software.
- Proficiency in **AutoCAD** is mandatory, while experience with **Revit MEP** and BIM coordination is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and other HVAC design standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with green building standards such as **LEED** or **IGBC** is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills with attention to engineering accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
