We are seeking an experienced **Cloud Engineer** with 10–15 years of expertise in designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of **Amazon Web Services (AWS)**, strong experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**, and a solid background in **DevOps practices**. You will play a critical role in architecting cloud-native solutions, automating infrastructure provisioning, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring operational excellence across enterprise-scale environments.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, platform engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders to build resilient cloud platforms that support business-critical applications while maintaining high standards of reliability, security, and performance.
## Requirements
### Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement DevOps best practices to improve software delivery speed, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance and cost.
- Design cloud networking, storage, compute, and security architectures aligned with business requirements.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to migrate applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Enforce cloud governance, security policies, IAM controls, and compliance standards.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting languages and cloud automation tools.
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes where applicable.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous infrastructure improvements.
### Requirements
### Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Proven experience designing and managing large-scale AWS environments.
### Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in **Amazon Web Services (AWS)** including services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, and Auto Scaling.
- Extensive experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of **DevOps** methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release management.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and cloud networking concepts.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, backup strategies, and disaster recovery.
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
### Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-cloud environments is an advantage.
- AWS Professional or Specialty certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
