We are seeking an experienced **Senior .NET Automation Test Engineer** with 7–10 years of expertise in software quality assurance, test automation, and application testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in **.NET technologies**, extensive experience in designing and implementing **automation testing frameworks**, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. You will work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure applications meet functional, performance, and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
This role requires a proactive professional who can build scalable automation solutions, identify testing gaps, and continuously improve testing processes to support rapid software delivery.
## Requirements
### Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using .NET technologies.
- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, desktop, and API applications.
- Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with developers to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and validate bug fixes.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Monitor automation execution, analyze test results, and generate detailed quality reports.
- Improve test coverage by identifying automation opportunities across applications.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities within Agile teams.
- Ensure adherence to software quality standards, testing best practices, and coding guidelines.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation strategy and framework enhancements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
### Required Skills
### Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with **.NET** technologies.
- Extensive experience in **Automation Testing** for enterprise applications.
- Solid understanding of software **testing** methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks.
- Experience in functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and defect analysis skills.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience working with source control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
### Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools for automated test execution.
- Exposure to database testing using SQL.
- Knowledge of API testing tools and web services.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing concepts.
- Understanding of cloud-based application testing is an added advantage.
- Relevant software testing or automation certifications are preferred.
