## Requirements
**Key Responsibilities**
**Procurement Planning & Strategy**
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil construction materials and subcontracted works.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support uninterrupted project execution.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and project requirements.
**Tendering & Vendor Finalization**
- Manage the tendering process, including floating RFQs, vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of vendor quotations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders during vendor finalization and procurement approvals.
- Ensure procurement documentation is maintained accurately.
**Cost Control & Budget Management**
- Establish procurement cost benchmarks aligned with project budgets.
- Monitor material price trends and recommend cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with Quantity Surveying and Finance teams to ensure procurement activities remain within approved budgets.
**Vendor & Supplier Management**
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors for civil construction materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance.
- Conduct vendor performance evaluations and maintain an approved vendor database.
**Compliance & Documentation**
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Maintain complete procurement records for audit and internal review.
- Monitor procurement risks and implement corrective actions where required.
**Cross-Functional Coordination**
- Coordinate with Project, Site, QS, and Finance teams to ensure smooth material planning and supply.
- Track purchase orders and material delivery schedules.
- Provide regular procurement reports and updates to senior management.
**Preferred Candidate Profile**
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Sound knowledge of civil construction materials and procurement processes.
- Experience in tendering, procurement planning, and cost optimization.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, or procurement software.
**Education**
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
**Experience**
- 10–15 years of experience in procurement for civil construction projects.
- Must have worked on high-rise residential, luxury apartment, villa, or commercial projects.
- Proven experience in procurement planning, vendor management, tendering, and material sourcing from project initiation to completion.
