Senior Scientist, Clinical Biomarkers

General Description: We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated PhD scientist to join our Clinical Biomarker team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong logical and analytical thinking, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to learn. This role focuses on supporting clinical development through biomarker strategy, data interpretation, and cross‐functional collaboration, with significant opportunities for growth and ownership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in translational research, a deep understanding of clinical biomarkers, and excellent communication skills to drive insights that support clinical decision making and advance drug development. Essential Functions of the job: Independently design, conduct and coordinate clinical and translational research activities involved in the evaluation and development of drugs, focusing on pharmacodynamic proof-of-mechanism/pharmacology, patient selection/stratification and clinical proof-of-concept, and underlying disease biology of relevance to combination therapy and drug sensitivity or resistance. Independently identify, evaluate and prioritize candidate predictive biomarkers and develop clinical companion diagnostic tests that will appropriately transition from early to late phase clinical development. Work directly with a variety of external contract research organizations/vendors as well as academic collaborators and key opinion leaders to execute and expand clinical translational research efforts. Work collaboratively within highly integrated, multi-functional program teams that includes scientists within Discovery Research, Research Precision Medicine, Computational Biology, Clinical Pharmacology and Development Operations groups, as well as Clinicians, Statisticians, and Asset Team Leads. Manage external vendors and collaborators involved in clinical studies or translational research, including vendor evaluation and selection for biomarker activities.
