Senior Scientist, ADC/DAC payload-linker discovery

ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Senior-Principal level scientist to support ADC/DAC payload-linker discovery programs. The successful candidate will focus on rapid synthesis, purification, characterization, and delivery of high-quality payloads and linker compounds. The ideal scientist enjoys working at the bench, solving synthetic challenges, and quickly turning scientific ideas into molecules. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Compound Synthesis & Delivery Execute multi-step organic synthesis of payloads, linkers, and related compounds. Design practical synthetic routes based on project needs and published chemistry. Troubleshoot synthetic challenges and identify efficient solutions. Deliver compounds in a timely manner to support project milestones. 2. Laboratory Execution Independently perform synthesis, purification, and characterization. Maintain clear experimental records and analytical documentation. Apply LC-MS, HPLC, UPLC and NMR techniques for compound analysis. 3. Scientific Problem Solving Work closely with senior scientists and project leaders to translate ideas into executable chemistry plans. Interpret experimental results and propose practical next steps. Continuously improve synthetic efficiency and compound quality. 4. Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with Biology and ADC teams to support compound testing. Incorporate biological feedback into subsequent chemistry efforts. Participate in project discussions and communicate experimental findings. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 1. Education: Master or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or related disciplines. 2. Industry Experience: 5-8 years (for senior scientist) or 0-5 years (for principal scientist) of hands-on industry experience in small molecule synthesis; proven track record in novel payload/linker discovery is highly preferred. 3. Technical Skills: Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry. Proven experience in multi-step synthesis. Strong purification and characterization skills. Experience with LC-MS, HPLC, NMR.
