Principal Investigator

The Principal Investigator of Research Portfolio Management will help Research Senior Management team to manage the preclinical research portfolios including setting program goals, identifying and mitigating risks, tracking program progress, driving timeline, prioritizing programs and allocating recourses. In this role, the candidate will do cross-program management by participating in multiple programs as the core team member and functioning either as the scientific team leader or program coordinator. The candidate will work closely with other function teams, such as chemistry, discovery biology, biologics, DMPK, in vivo pharmacology and translational science, to ensure the quality and timeline of research programs. The ideal candidate should have a strong scientific training background and have led or participated in preclinical research programs. A deep understanding of basic principle or building blocks along drug discovery process is essential. The candidate should be energetic and inspirational, with communication skills that enable him/her to be persuasive to a broad and heterogeneous group of stakeholders. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: - Provides scientific perspective and leadership to research programs. A primary focus and experience in either oncology research or inflammation/immunology therapeutic areas is preferred.; - Demonstrate strong capabilities in managing timeline, risk identification and mitigation for research programs; - Works with program teams to set objectives, timeline, deliverables and manage multiple programs; - Responsible for data review, analysis, and interpretation from a variety of sources and evaluates the impact on program deliverables. Provides input into go/no-go decisions for programs. Skills/Knowledge Required: - Ph.D. degree in biology. Cancer biology or immunology background will be preferred; - 3+ years of experience in preclinical research, ideally within the small molecule/biologics oncology/inflammation setting.
