Scientist II, ex vivo

We are looking for highly motivated researchers from all medical science disciplines to join the Pharmacology department to be part of the mission in expanding the highest quality therapies to billions more people. This individual will design and execute ex vivo/in vivo and translational studies in animal models for portfolio projects and drug target validation. Essential Functions of the job: Establish, validate, and perform ex vivo assays and sample analysis using techniques including, but not limited to, FACS, western blot, ELISA, and qPCR. Conduct in vitro experiments using cell lines and/or primary cells. Support in vivo studies, including, but not limited to, blood and tissue/organ collection from mice and rats. Support the development of autoimmune disease- and oncology-related animal models. Assist with the experimental design and execution of pharmacodynamic and efficacy studies using animal models. Support project management and communication within the department and across functions. Position level will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. Master’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy/pharmacology, medicine, or a related field is required. Background in immunology and/or oncology is preferred. Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques including, but not limited to, FACS, ELISA, qPCR, western blot, primary immune cell isolation, and functional assays are preferred. Strong English reading and writing skills are required; English listening and speaking skills are a plus. Experience with animal handling and in vivo study procedures, as well as autoimmune disease and/or oncology model development, is preferred.
