CADD, (Senior) Research Investigator/Principal Investigator

Main responsibility: Participate in or lead the drug discovery programs as the project leader by coordinating different functions. Propose new drug targets or new modalities for disease of interests. Support drug discovery projects at various stages from CADD perspective including but not limited to virtual screening, hit triage, rational design etc. Apply state-of-art computational methods including physics-based and data-driven approaches to the best application scenario on internal project support. Perform SAR analysis and provide suggestions or directions to the project team. Work closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, data/AI scientists, and other functions. Lead/coach junior team members on technical skills, target proposal and project support etc. Qualifications PhD in computational chemistry or closely related area with strong track record of scientific publications including patents. Drug discovery project support experiences in pharma/biotech industry. Strong background of biology or deep understanding of drug discovery is a plus. Experience of drug discovery program management is a plus. Expertise in CADD technologies such as molecular docking, MD simulation, quantum mechanics, cheminformatics, etc. Familiar with common software such as Schrodinger, MOE, Amber, Gromacs, CSD, etc Good understanding of underlying methodologies as well as their pros and cons. Experience with scripting language and applying cheminformatics toolkits and machine/deep learning techniques is a plus.
