(Senior) Scientist, ADC Conjugation

We are seeking an ADC Conjugation Process Development Scientist to design and execute antibody–drug conjugation, purification, and characterization workflows to support pipeline programs from candidate selection through IND-enabling development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on bench scientist with strong expertise in conjugation chemistries, downstream purification, and ADC analytics, and thrives in a cross-functional, English-speaking environment. Key Responsibilities Design and execute ADC conjugation studies, including random (lysine/cysteine) and site-specific conjugation strategies; optimize reaction conditions to meet target DAR, yield, and quality. Develop and run purification processes for antibodies and ADCs using chromatography and membrane operations, including column chromatography, filtration, and UF/DF. Perform and interpret ADC analytical characterization to assess CQAs, including DAR and purity/impurity profiling; support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations. Example methods: HIC-HPLC and/or LC-MS for DAR; SEC-HPLC for aggregates; CE-SDS/SDS-PAGE for size variants; IEX for charge variants; endotoxin testing (LAL-based). Document experiments and results in a clear, compliant manner (protocols, batch records, reports) and communicate findings to project teams. Collaborate cross-functionally (Analytical, Upstream/Downstream, Formulation, QA, PM) to deliver program milestones; contribute to CMC readiness for IND. Qualifications MS or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines. 2+ years of hands-on experience in ADC conjugation and process development in biotech/pharma and/or CRO settings. Proven expertise in common ADC conjugation technologies (random and site-specific) and downstream purification (chromatography, filtration, UF/DF). Working knowledge of ADC analytical methods and principles, including DAR quantitation, purity assessment, and endotoxin testing; able to interpret data and drive decisions. Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work effectively in an English-speaking environment. Preferred Experience supporting programs from PCC to IND (IND-enabling CMC).
