Job Summary: The Purchase Intern will assist the purchasing department in sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, and documentation processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience in procurement practices, supplier communications, and cross-functional collaboration. Duties and Responsibilities: (these are the positions essential duties and is not an all-inclusive list) · Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, aligned with Comau’s quality and sustainability standards. · Support in the preparation and management of purchase orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. · Maintain and update supplier records, contract documentation, and compliance files. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, logistics, finance) to align supplier activities with project needs. · Participate in supplier audits and assessments to reinforce Comau’s commitment to excellence and sustainability. · Contribute to spend analysis and procurement reporting using tools such as SAP. · Communicate with suppliers to follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, and resolve issues. · Assist in implementing process improvement and digitalization initiatives within the purchasing function. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field. · Minimum 3 working days per week. · Fluent in English; Italian or other languages are a plus. · Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. knowledge of SAP is a plus. · Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. · Good communication and teamwork abilities. · Strong organizational and time-management abilities. · Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
