Commissioning Engineer

Summary Full capability to follow all the commissioning activities related to CNC machine, assembly and test equipment from the Power on to the CP/CPK run off test and customer final buy off/acceptance. Duties and Responsibilities (these are the positions essential duties and is not an all inclusive list) • Work closely with Site Manager and the project team, supporting them and the project to respect the projects timing. • Machining equipment installation and commissioning, to ensure the unity of the auxiliary equipment and machining center system . • Consult with project team to resolve problems in areas such as equipment performance and improve the deliverable quality of the equipment. • 100% follow commissioning internal procedures and commissioning activities check list. • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job in a better/qualified way. • Work always 100% in safe conditions to prevent injuries. • 100% follow customer’s or Comau plants policy for environmental, health or safety regulations. • Full capability understanding of tolerance stack, and Q-Das reports. • Full capability of reading CMM report and making the needed adjustments, software or hardware. • Good knowledge of tools (ie: Type/Size/Material/Cutting Edge design/RPM & Speeds). • Capable of using tool presetter equipment and do the needed adjustment. • Providing information to persons inside or outside the organization by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. representing the organization. Key Performance Indicators & Measures • Meeting project timing objectives • Program profitability • Customer Satisfaction Index Qualifications (Education, Training, Certification, Licenses, Experience) • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, focused on commissioning or maintenance. • Bachelor’s degree in automation or relevant major. • Travel based on project priorities and customer / supplier locations. Potentially for extended periods of time. Knowledge & Skills • More than 5 years’ experience in machine commissioning or maintenance, boring machine, milling machine, CNC machine tools or machining center is a plus. • Master equipment and machine parts knowledge. Familiar with machine installation, commissioning process, have machine tool cutting experience. • Familiar with the spare parts processing technology. • Familiar with parts inspection and measurement. • Good English both in spoken and written.
