BD Manager

Key Responsibilities1. Support to develop Hengrui’s China BD strategy, assessment & decision-making framework, and SOP2. Lead market research efforts such as epidemiology, treatment flow, qualitative or quantitative demand/market share, positioning, competitive landscape, innovation trend, future treatment paradigms, etc. to support opportunity identification, assessment and decision-making3. Conduct pre-assessment on incoming opportunities and prioritize based on high-level conclusions, such as strategic fit, commercial value and potential risks4. Lead cross-functional collaboration on in-depth evaluation (incl. due diligence)5. Support to develop transaction strategy, deal structure and financial terms for each deal; build business cases and prepare assessment report with insights and recommendations to the senior management teams for decision-making6. Participate/ lead negotiation and operationalize the transactions7. Source potential partners for given topics and prioritize for reach-out8. Support critical strategic tasks within the broader Strategy and BD teamEducation/Qualifications1. Biology/chemistry/pharmacology/medicine or related educational background required, MSc and above; relevant previous in-license deal or external collaboration experience is a must 2. Strong English and Chinese language skills; Strong interpersonal skills3. At least 5 years’ working experience from pharma or biotech, business development experience with successful deal-making history is preferred
