Procurement Manager/Senior Manager (CMC and CAPEX)

Responsibilities Act as Business Partner and category manager of a cluster of CMC categories (biologics CMC, Process, Formulation, Analytical) as well as QA and CAPEX Lead the development/implementation of sourcing strategy for Biologics CMC outsourcing services (ADC/Linker-Payload/RSM related CDMO/CRO etc), to optimize service quality/delivery speed/cost/compliance and mitigate risk. Adhere to all procurement and applicable company policies& procedures and perpetually ensure compliance. Implement defined metrics that tracks the status of all relevant procurement activities and process compliance. Create RFXs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers, work together with project team to develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time and change management in compliance with relevant SOP and processes. Work with HUTCHMED cross-functional team to negotiate and execute contracts in a timely manner to meet aggressive project timelines. Proactively identify and facilitate resolution of issues ensuring that contracts are consistent with HUTCHMED quality and business objectives. Manage contract throughout the lifecycle of the project including change orders etc. Support continuous monitoring and improvement in terms of Quality, Service Level, Time, Total Cost of Ownership (across entire project life cycle) and balance/mitigate corresponding risk, including the variation/claim management and expediting during the execution phase as well as close out of contracts. -Work with HUTCHMED cross-functional SME team for supplier life cycle management, including supplier qualification & audit/ongoing monitoring/annual evaluation, performance issue management, off-boarding etc. Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as point of contact for all commercial issues, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, availability and cost status Support business cases for implementation of new processes and procedures to improve organizational efficiencies. Team work assignment , and other tasks arising (or assigned by Line Manager) in the scope of procurement function. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Medical/Pharmaceutical/Life Science background is preferred. Minimal 5 years of sourcing / procurement experience to include: purchasing, negotiating contracts, contract management, construction project change management, and supplier qualification/certification. At least 3 years’ experience in CMC/CAPEX procurement category Ability to demonstrate knowledge of multiple R&D Procurement categories and understanding of the relevant industries/markets Proficient in English (as working language) and Microsoft office tools, ERP systems. Procurement tools knowledge as an asset. Good analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills. Ability to lead and influence cross functional team. Self-disciplined by good business ethical standards, good team player. Able to work under pressure with grow mindset.
