Primary Duties and Responsibilities Working with GCM to develop purchasing strategies by devices and regions that align with the company’s goals and objectives; Working very closely with commodity purchasing to deliver year-over-year savings with a clear saving road map for each key device catalog globally. Conducting market research to identify saving potential by key devices based on should cost modeling. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to execute on cost down initiatives and align purchasing activities accordingly. A pro-active approach with cross-functions needed to guide strategic discussions. Ensuring compliance, legal and ethical standards in the purchasing process and in accordance with the Joyson standards. Analyzing purchasing data (e.g. BOM cost comparison) and align with global commodity mangers and cross-regional procurement leaders to develop best costed BOM by key devices. Developing and maintaining a network of industry contacts to stay informed about market trends and best practices. Competences and skills Very strong analytical skills, able to perform under time constraints, and operate in high pressure situations. Deep technical understanding of commodity & sub-commodity level to work with engineering & project purchasing on sustainable savings (early involvement) and developing a strong supplier base beyond price comparisons. Strong management and leadership skills. Ability to mentor/develop direct reports with a focus on career development. Brings a positive attitude, high energy, and strong desire to win.
