Service Line Overview At KPMG our Operations Executives work across different service-based solutions to provide our clients with premium operations at a service level higher than they can achieve themselves in areas such as Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence and Third Party Risk Management. We provide operational excellence, combined with subject matter expertise and leading edge tools and technology to deliver fast, efficient and high-quality outcomes to meet our clients’ most critical business needs. A role with KPMG Outsourcing is part of our Advisory practice where you will join our dedicated team that provides the back-bone of our Outsourcing business. As an Operations Executive within KPMG’s Managed Services specialising in Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Operations, you will receive training and guidance on how to deal directly with our Client’s KYC & EDD requirements and assess how well financial crime risk is being managed. We are looking for high calibre individuals to join our team to support the growth of KPMG’s outsourcing business. Key Responsibilities · Conduct comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify and verify KYC documents and customer statistics for a top tier investment bank · Perform Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and sanction list screening, ensuring accurate identification of high-risk customers and entities. Escalate findings to appropriate stakeholders · Assess customer risk profiles based on current data and market conditions. Engage with customers and iBankers to discuss findings, provide insights, and recommend actions for risk mitigation. · Conduct impact assessments related to customer operations and transactions. Map and verify data to ensure alignment with compliance standards and regulatory expectations for each onboarding request (e.g. case assessment. Completing AMLE review status, reference data checks). · Review existing policies and procedures related to KYC, EDD, and risk management. Provide recommendations for enhancements based on regulatory changes and industry best practices. · Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, legal, and iBanker, to support financial crime investigations and foster a culture of compliance within the organization. Experience & Background · Diploma holder or above in any disciplines · Fresh graduate would also be considered. Training will be provided · Experience of working in customer service capacity (e.g. call centre, airline, hospitality) or handling customer due diligence business processes in banking is an advantage · Good communication skills and good command on written and spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English · Ability to assimilate and apply detailed process instructions · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Capability to assimilate and apply detailed process instructions effectively. · Self-motivated, able to work independently and willing to accept challenges · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) or other related applications · A proactive team player with the ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing environments. Demonstrated capacity to work independently and take initiative.
