About The Role

JOB SUMMARY The Vice President, Finance System & Transformation is a senior leader responsible for defining and executing the multi-year strategy to modernize finance processes, data, and enabling technologies. This role leads end-to-end transformation programs spanning finance operating model, shared services evolution, process standardization, controls and governance, and enterprise finance platforms (e.g., ERP, planning, consolidation, reporting, and automation). The incumbent partners with Finance, Technology, and business leaders to deliver scalable capabilities, improve data integrity and decision support, enhance compliance, and drive measurable efficiency and service-quality outcomes across the organization. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA/MFin) and/or professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) strongly preferred. 15+ years of progressive finance experience with significant leadership in finance transformation, finance systems/ERP programs, and process optimization. Proven track record delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs (multi-country / multi-business) from strategy through implementation and benefits realization. Deep knowledge of finance processes (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, treasury, FP&A) and related controls, governance, and compliance requirements. Experience building shared services and/or center of excellence capabilities, including standard operating procedures, service catalogues, SLAs/KPIs, and continuous improvement. Skills and Competencies Strong finance systems and data fluency (consolidation, planning, reporting/BI, master data, integration) with the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions. Demonstrated expertise in process standardization, controls design, governance, and driving data integrity across end-to-end finance processes. Change leadership: builds sponsorship, manages resistance, and enables adoption through communication, training, and performance management. Program and portfolio management capabilities, including business case development, roadmap planning, dependency management, and benefits realization. Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority and operate effectively with senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills; experience working across cultures and geographies. Hospitality industry knowledge preferred. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Finance Transformation Strategy & Roadmap Define and maintain the multi-year finance systems and transformation roadmap aligned to finance strategy, business priorities, and growth plans. Develop business cases, investment proposals, and benefits tracking to ensure value realization and transparency of outcomes. Finance Systems Leadership (Finance systems, Birchstreet, Procurement systems) Provide finance leadership for major platform implementations/enhancements, ensuring strong process design, controls, testing, cutover, and stabilization. Partner with Technology to define target architecture, integration approach, security and access controls, and data standards for finance applications. Process Standardization, Controls & Governance Drive standardized end-to-end finance processes, policies, and operating procedures to improve consistency, controllership, and audit readiness. Establish governance forums, decision rights, and change control to manage process and system changes effectively. Finance Operating Model & Shared Services Enablement Shape the finance operating model and shared services/CoE capabilities, including service catalogue, SLAs, KPIs, and performance governance. Identify and implement opportunities to eliminate redundancies, improve cycle times, and enhance service quality through standardization and digitization. Automation, Data & Insights Identify and prioritize automation opportunities (workflow, RPA, low-code, AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate) to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. Strengthen finance data foundations (master data, hierarchies, definitions) and enable actionable reporting and decision support for stakeholders. Leadership, Talent & Change Management Lead and develop a high-performing transformation organization (program, process, data, and systems roles), including capability building and succession planning. Embed structured change management, communication, and training to drive adoption and sustain new ways of working. Success Measures (Illustrative) Delivery of finance systems roadmap milestones on time/on budget with strong controls and stakeholder satisfaction. Measurable efficiency gains (cycle time reduction, automation rate, cost-to-serve improvement) with sustained performance. Improved data quality and reporting reliability (reduced manual adjustments, fewer errors, clearer definitions and governance). Audit/compliance outcomes supported by standardized processes, documentation, and effective governance.
