As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, working with leading financial institutions on regulatory compliance, risk management, and process transformation, with a strong focus on the evolving regulatory landscape. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to: • Review SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR) regulatory returns and related reporting mechanisms for all types of investment products, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products • Conduct gap analysis and process reviews to enhance clients’ regulatory reporting controls and efficiency • Assist in formulating SFC licensing-related policies and support the implementation of regulatory frameworks and guidelines • Provide technical support and guidance on SFC licensing regimes, including license applications, variations, and ongoing compliance for various regulated activities • Advise clients on the impact of regulatory updates on new FRR (e.g., margin financing, capital adequacy, and the OTCD regime) and assist in the implementation of regulatory changes • Support clients in regulatory inspections, respond to SFC queries, and assist with remediation projects related to FRR and licensing compliance • Support front-to-end regulatory transformation projects and system enhancement initiatives • Demonstrate knowledge of the standardized approach (SA) and internal model approach (IMA) applications under the SFC’s new Type 11 licensing regime is preferred • Keep abreast of the latest SFC regulatory developments, circulars, and enforcement trends Required qualification and skills • Bachelor degree and/or professional qualification in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, Law, CFA, or FRM; • 3+ years’ experience in SFC FRR reporting, regulatory compliance, or audit/advisory for licensed corporations (Big 4, consulting, or in-house at a licensed corporation preferred) • Solid understanding of the operations of financial markets and the regulation of SFC licensed intermediaries • Strong knowledge of the SFC FRR, SFO licensing regimes, and related SFC circulars and guidelines • Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of written English and Chinese • Proficient in data analytics and automation tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel VBA • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills You will also: • Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas. • Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities and coach to help deliver results. • Develop new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems. • Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in business area. • Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance. • Share relevant thought leadership. • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing others. • Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality, diverse relationships. • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
