About The Role
Operational Monitoring and Coordination Monitor and operate multiple RTCC operational systems, communication platforms, camera resources, mapping tools, and related technology systems simultaneously. Maintain situational awareness of campus operational activity through the review and coordination of information from multiple operational resources. Monitor camera footage and operational systems for suspicious activity, operational concerns, service impacts, safety-related issues, or other relevant operational information and communicate findings to appropriate university personnel and operational partners. Support operational coordination efforts involving campus operations, facilities, transportation, and public safety-related support services. Share pertinent operational information through shift briefings, logs, pass-along documentation, and operational notifications. Participate in ongoing operational, procedural, and technology-related training activities. Operational Support and Information Review Review operational activity, reports, records, digital information, and related materials in support of university operational needs and partner requests. Assist with the retrieval, organization, documentation, and management of operational records, video resources, and related information. Prepare clear, accurate, and concise summaries, logs, reports, and operational documentation. Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive or restricted operational information and records. Utilize university operational systems, communication resources, and related technology platforms to support operational coordination, service requests, and continuity of operations activities. Support referral and notification processes involving operational concerns, maintenance-related issues, or safety-related observations as appropriate. Operational Intelligence Utilize data from multiple systems, technologies, reports, and campus resources to support operational decision-making. Analyze operational information to identify recurring issues, emerging trends, and operational vulnerabilities. Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for proactive intervention. Communication and Service Support Communicate professionally and effectively with university personnel, operational partners, and internal stakeholders. Support emergency and after-hours operational coordination efforts as assigned. Maintain effective working relationships with university departments and operational partners. Provide timely and accurate operational information during dynamic or high-tempo situations. Assist with special events, operational activities, emergency support efforts, and continuity of operations initiatives as assigned. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, adaptability, and sound judgment while operating in a fast-paced operational environment. Critical Incident and Event Support Support planned and unplanned university operational events including campus activities, emergencies, special events, and continuity of operations activations. Maintain operational awareness and assist with operational coordination during dynamic or high-stress situations. Provide operational support during extended incidents, special events, emergency operations, and other large-scale university activities. Assist with the setup, movement, and support of operational equipment and technology resources during events or incidents as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Ability to operate and monitor multiple operational systems and technology platforms simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Skill in observing situations and maintaining attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to review, organize, document, and maintain operational information and records accurately. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism during stressful or dynamic situations. Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technologies, procedures, systems, and operational environments. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information and records. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented operational environment.
