About The Role

Design, develop and oversee the implementation of institutional compliance training for students, employees, and campus affiliates using research and data, including collaboration with subject-matter experts, evaluation of federal, state, and municipal regulations, and feedback gathered by convening focus-groups and working groups and other methods of gathering constituent input. Identify specific compliance topics for training which mitigate risk and promote integrity. Develop campus outreach programs and communication strategies to increase visibility and enhance knowledge of university policies, practices, and programs. Utilize multiple platforms and modalities for outreach, communication, and education including in-person (small group, classroom, and large audience presentations), technological (online training modules, websites, email communications, and other media), and passive (awareness campaigns, promotional, and print materials). May direct press relations including preparation of news releases/articles and arrangements for interviews. Maintain compliance documentation, examine departmental, compliance, and regulatory trends, and make recommendations regarding educational program development. Monitor institutional compliance and required training obligations and communicate with departments and individuals regarding compliance responsibilities, preparing summaries and reports to inform senior management of compliance risks and mitigation plans. Serve as a program administrator including coordinating, implementing, and monitoring compliance requirements through multiple training and communication modules in the university's learning management system. Work collaboratively with campus partners including members of the Campus Life area, Human Resources, Arizona Athletics, student groups, law enforcement, and administrators to sustain an effective prevention and compliance program. Additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of the principles of effective compliance programs and relevant laws and regulations focused on discrimination and harassment, youth protection, safety, and ethics and integrity. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to act independently, take initiative, exercise sound judgment, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to adapt to a changing regulatory and legal landscape. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with student and professional staff, colleagues, and partners across the organization. Strong organizational skills. Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of assignments.
