Interventional Radiology Technologist

Your future role at a glance Location: Nashville, TN Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas West Department: Interventional Radiology Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift Sign-on Bonus: $10,000.00 #NextGenHealthcare How you'll make an impact in this role Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately, along with preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines and monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted required. One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
