Your future role at a glance Location: Nashville, TN Facility: Saint Thomas Midtown Specialty: Bariatrics Schedule: Days | Full-time How you'll make an impact in this role Provide Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-operative nutritional assessments, monitor nutrition status and manage individualized care plans for long-term bariatric success. Manage the Care Continuum: Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nutritional counseling—focusing on diet progression, supplementation, and long-term habits—while continuously monitoring patient progress to adjust individualized care plans. Lead Patient Education: Empower individuals by facilitating bariatric education classes, hosting support groups, and teaching mindful eating and sustainable behavior modification. Collaborate and Document: Partner closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams while ensuring accurate, compliant medical record (EMR) documentation and accreditation compliance. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtainedprior to hire date or job transfer date required.
