Your future role at a glance Location: Kyle, TX Facility: Seton Medical Center Hays Department/Specialty: Observation Schedule: Full-time | Night Shift 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Rotating weekends, with 7 day per week availability, weekend and holiday shifts required Fellowship Cohort: Fall 2026 Start dates: September 14 or October 12 The Registered Nurse Fellowship program is specifically designed for nurses with more than one year of experience seeking to transition into a different specialty. #TXResidentandFellow #NextGenHealthcare How you'll make an impact in this role Guided Care Execution: Assist with the implementation, monitoring, and documentation of evidence-based patient care plans. Proactive Monitoring: Record and communicate critical changes in patient condition directly to the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team. Collaborative Practice: Input and execute physician and nursing orders under the direct supervision of an RN preceptor. Clinical Competency Development: Actively participate in transition-to-practice programs to rapidly refine clinical reasoning and judgment. Person-Centered Advocacy: Deliver safe, high-quality, and empathetic care tailored to unique patient populations. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
