Your future role at a glance Location: Panama City, FL Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Beachside Department: Free Standing Emergency Department Schedule: Rotating schedule | PRN |Holiday and weekend requirement How you'll make an impact in this role Identify, intervene, and assist with stabilizing ill or injured patients under the direction of a physician and/or Registered Nurse. Initiate and support appropriate patient care interventions in accordance with hospital protocols, scope of practice, and established standards of care. Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition, treatment provided, and response to interventions as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support timely, coordinated, and compassionate patient care. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Paramedic specializing in Flight credentialed from the International Board of Specialty Certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Paramedic credentialed from the Florida Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need PALS certification Minimum 1 year of previous Paramedic experience.
