How you'll make an impact in this role Partner closely with clinical teams to pulse-check discharges and transfers. Be the strategic mind planning bed assignments to keep the hospital’s "heartbeat" steady and efficient. Act as a critical gatekeeper by reviewing admissions for medical necessity. Use your clinical judgment to ensure every patient is matched with the unit and resources best suited to their recovery. Serve as a mentor and guide for our Admissions Coordinators. Provide the real-time direction and support they need to navigate complex patient access challenges. Dive into bed management metrics to spot trends and propose innovative solutions that improve our system's performance. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional requirements you'll need Must be able to meet the standard PRN minimum of one 12-hour mid shift (12pm-12am) every two weeks with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
