Lead - Warehouse Management

Role: Lead - Warehouse Management Location: Ather Energy Factory, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra Reporting to: Head - Warehouse Management (Auric) Team Name: Warehouse Management, Manufacturing Operations About the Team and the Role The Warehouse Management team at Ather is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations across our manufacturing facilities, including inwarding, storage, kitting, line feeding, and maintaining inventory accuracy and safety standards. This role is for a Lead - Warehouse Management who will directly oversee operations across assembly, paint, and ACED shop warehouses, managing 3PL partners, standardising best practices, and driving continuous improvement to ensure seamless production support. Responsibilities Directly manage Section Managers across assembly, paint, and ACED shop warehouses to oversee daily operations. Review, monitor, and optimize the performance of 3PL warehouse service providers to improve operational efficiency. Standardise best-in-class warehouse practices (SOPs, Work Instructions) and drive governance through audits and Layered Process Confirmation. Monitor and drive key operational KPIs including GRN lead time, Truck TAT, location/stock accuracy, zero line loss, and aging inventory. Solve day-to-day operational issues, handle escalations, and serve as the main operational face of the warehouse. Train, coach, and manage the warehouse team to achieve short- and long-term performance goals while fostering a collaborative environment. Encourage the team to identify and execute Kaizens for continuous process improvement. Optimize staffing models, utilize warehouse space effectively, and ensure overall 5S and safety compliance. Experience and Qualifications B.E/B.Tech (additional weightage for MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management) Min. 10+ Years of experience in warehouse function with a strong team management history Must Have Competencies End-to-end warehouse operations management including kitting, line feeding, and 3PL partner management. Inventory control and KPI monitoring such as location/stock accuracy, GRN lead time, and aging inventory. Process standardisation and compliance management through SOPs, Work Instructions, and operational audits. Functional knowledge of SAP WM and administrative execution using MIS tools. Good to Have Competencies Continuous improvement frameworks including Kaizen identification and Lean warehouse practices. Space planning, layout optimization, and resource utilization techniques. Workforce capacity planning and productivity optimization modeling. Implementation of 5S standards and warehouse safety compliance protocols. Want to know more?
