About The Role

Role: Privacy Analyst - Technology Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru Reporting To: Data Privacy Manager Team Name: Information Technology Team About the Team and the Role The Information Technology team at Ather is responsible for building, securing, and maintaining the digital infrastructure, connected software platforms, and technical enterprise tools that power our electric vehicle ecosystem. This role is for a Privacy Analyst - Technology who will serve as a digital guardian, driving the implementation of privacy-enhancing technologies, automating compliance workflows, and embedding privacy-by-design principles across Ather's vehicles and connected platforms. Responsibilities Evaluate, implement, and maintain privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) such as data discovery, consent management, masking, tokenization, encryption, and anonymization. Conduct technical Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to proactively mitigate privacy risks across products and services. Develop and maintain robust data maps, classification registers, and inventories to ensure transparent and compliant data flows. Automate data privacy operations and compliance workflows by leveraging scripting, API integrations, and specialized privacy automation tools. Monitor, audit, and report on compliance metrics against global regulations including DPDPA, GDPR, and CCPA. Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and legal teams to embed privacy-by-design principles directly into our connected vehicles and software ecosystem. Support internal and external data privacy audits, documenting findings and tracking the implementation of corrective actions. Stay abreast of evolving global privacy regulations and emerging privacy technologies to continuously evaluate and enhance Ather's data protection posture. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in Information Security, Risk & Compliance, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience implementing data privacy automation tools. Prior experience in IT Product Management or Privacy Program Management is a strong plus. Must Have Competencies Execution of technical Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to analyze and mitigate privacy vulnerabilities. Deployment and management of Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) including data masking, tokenization, encryption, and anonymization techniques. Creation and maintenance of comprehensive data maps, data inventories, and classification schemas across enterprise and product architectures. Interpretation and technical application of major global privacy frameworks and regulations such as DPDPA, GDPR, and CCPA. Good to Have Competencies Automation of data compliance workflows using scripting languages like Python and SQL to streamline operations. Analysis of cloud computing architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) to address and resolve complex data privacy and security challenges. Alignment of organizational privacy practices with standards like the NIST Privacy Framework and ISO 27701. Coordination of technical audits and tracking of remediation actions across multiple product engineering teams. Want to know more?
