Role: Site Head - Warehouse & Inbound Logistics Location: Ather Factory, Auric Reporting to: Head - Logistics & Warehouse Team Name: Operations About the Team and the Role: The Operations team at Ather is responsible for managing our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, inbound and outbound logistics, and supply chain execution to ensure seamless production and delivery of our intelligent vehicles. This role is for a Site Head - Warehouse & Inbound Logistics who will lead the greenfield launch, physical warehouse setup, 3PL management, and inbound logistics operations at the AURIC factory. Responsibilities Lead the physical transition and setup of the AURIC warehouse from Day 0 setup to mass production stabilization, including rack installations, WMS hardware, and MHE deployments strictly on schedule. Enforce the Ather standard of rigorous 5S, workplace safety standards, and strict inventory discipline from day one across a brand-new workforce. Own the daily tracking and operational execution of all domestic inbound logistics (milk-runs, Exworks, and DAP) feeding the AURIC plant. Take absolute physical ownership of trucks at the security gate, managing dock scheduling, rapid unloading operations, and the GRN-to-putaway handshake. Govern local 3PL operations, managing daily shift planning and rapidly scaling contract labor from 50 to 500+ workers seamlessly to support factory production targets. Control the site-specific warehousing OPEX by optimizing MHE rentals, eliminating overtime waste, and eradicating demurrage penalties. Drive strict compliance with SLAs on Dock-to-Stock cycle times, JIT/JIS line-feeding accuracy, and truck turnaround times. Coordinate cross-functionally to execute volumetric routing guides, packaging SOPs, WMS logic, and stringent safety quarantine/drop-protocols for Class 9 DG goods (Lithium-Ion cells). Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus) 12 to 15+ years of core operations experience in FMCG, Automotive OEM, or high-velocity heavy manufacturing Must Have Competencies Greenfield warehouse launch execution, layout setup, racking installation, and material handling equipment (MHE) deployment. End-to-end inbound logistics, domestic milk-runs, Exworks/DAP transportation execution, and supplier cross-docking operations. Large-scale 3PL partner management and contract labor scaling, including shift planning and driving strict SLA compliance. Alignment of physical floor operations with digital warehouse systems, specifically Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) like SAP EWM. Good to Have Competencies Site-specific warehousing budget management, OPEX optimization, and logistics cost control (minimizing overtime, demurrage, and rental waste). Packaging standards implementation, volumetric routing guide execution, and central network planning alignment. Hazardous materials handling and safe quarantine/drop-protocol implementation for Class 9 Dangerous Goods (Lithium-Ion cells). Standardization of warehouse operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows under structured central operations guidelines. Want to know more?
