In this role, you will represent the holy trinity of plant operations: Production, Quality, and Maintenance in the swimlanes. You are the vital bridge between Organizational strategic objectives, driven in cross functional swimlanes, and the on-ground plant execution. Your mission is to ensure that all swimlane delivery initiatives are perfectly executable, cost competitive, and of highest standards to strictly adhere to Ather’s non-negotiable quality and safety gates. Technical Execution & Feasibility: Scrutinize new designs, line modifications, and product updates to ensure they fit seamlessly into plant architecture. RCA Gateway Ownership: Lead and execute rigorous Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for sustenance topics (Scrap reduction, Quality escapes, OLE drops, and Spares issues) before translating them into executions. Built-In Quality Governance: Enforce the organizational Quality Gates across all swimlane deliverables to guarantee safety and compliance. Decentralized Decision-Making: Make rapid, first-principles-based technical and operational decisions regarding shop-floor trade-offs (e.g.,cycle-time optimization vs. preventive maintenance schedules). The Engineering Shield: Act as a tactical shield for the shop-floor execution teams, filtering out administrative noise and meeting overhead to safeguard their deep-work and production cycles. RCA & Engineering Rigor: Expert level capability in structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) to isolate and eliminate manufacturing defects. Lean Manufacturing Principles: Practical proficiency in Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Line Balancing, and bottleneck identification to drive continuous value delivery. Digital Flow Competency: Strong command over digital tools, specifically Jira for tracking sprint velocity and backlog tasks, SAP , and G Suite . Strategic Communication & Business Cases: Hands on experience on preparing business cases with holistic view and ability to communicate the same with leadership teams effectively. Good to Have Competencies: Advanced Problem Solving: Certified Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or Shainin tools practitioner. Advanced Maintenance & Control: Practical understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) pillars, Levelled Production (Heijunka), and Kanban-based pull systems. Industry 4.0 Awareness: Familiarity with Industrial IoT (IIoT), automated testing equipment, and data-driven smart manufacturing systems. Matrix Influence: Proven ability to lead and align diverse execution teams through influence and engineering logic rather than direct line control. Want to know more?
